Eleven years ago this week…SHAFT #1 was released in comic book stores along with the first chapters of the novel SHAFT’S REVENGE, which was released digitally). This was a dream project that I had worked on making a reality for several years. I had already broken into comics when this series debuted, but this is where I made a name for myself. I ended up writing two SHAFT comic series/graphic novels, and one prose novel, all three of which I consider to be some of my best work as a writer.
